Ianua is the brand identity for a specialized producer of fine doors, designed by the studio Anti Estudio. The project was developed for a high-profile consumer with a taste for quality and difference, as well as for housing project managers and construction professionals seeking quality in their developments.[1]
Design and History
The Ianua identity was created by Anti Estudio, a design studio, for the doors brand. The branding work was featured by World Brand Design Society as “Branding for Ianua Fine Doors Producer by Anti Estudio.”[2]
During the conceptual investigation for the brand, the figure of Janus emerged as the god of doors, not only in a physical sense but also in a vital sense, as the god of changes, steps and transformations.[1]
Meaning and Symbolism
Following this conceptual direction, an icon was elaborated based on Greek imagery and the representation of Janus. The name “Ianua” itself is Latin for “door” or “portal,” and the Janus figure directly reflects the brand’s door-making focus.[1]
Typography and Design
The logo was written in a consistent and cohesive typography, set in lowercase to balance the mark and make it feel close and approachable.[1]
