Euronet Worldwide, Inc. is a global financial technology solutions and payments provider headquartered in Leawood, Kansas. The company was founded in 1994, starting in Central Europe with a focus on ATM networks before expanding into money transfers, credit/debit processing, point-of-sale services, branded payments and currency exchange. Euronet trades on NASDAQ under the ticker EEFT.
Design and History
On December 15, 2022, Euronet launched a new visual identity following an extensive process to refresh its corporate brand strategy. The launch included a new logo and visual concepts as well as a refined mission statement reflecting the company’s original values in increasing global financial inclusion while continuing to push innovation in the financial technology marketplace. The company formally revealed the new brand on its corporate website and planned to implement it across digital assets first, addressing physical assets such as ATMs and building signage throughout 2023 in an environmentally and economically conscious manner. The new Euronet logo is designed with a custom modern font and captures part of the company’s past with a similar deep blue color. The capital E, which is used on its own as a corporate logomark, features a diamond-shaped cut-out on the left that pays homage to the company’s original diamond-shaped logo. [1]
Prior to the 2022 rebrand, Euronet’s logo featured the wordmark “Euronet” with “Worldwide” beneath it, set within a diamond shape on a yellow background. Polish media covering the rebrand noted the departure from the yellow logo familiar to many consumers. [2]
Meaning and Symbolism
The diamond-shaped cut-out in the capital E is a deliberate reference to the company’s original diamond-shaped logo, preserving a visual link to Euronet’s history. [1]
The cut-out, along with a new green (“seafoam”) addition to the company’s color palette, creates a new corporate identity mark in the Euronet flag. Using the flag as a Euronet mark helps ground the company in the present by representing Euronet as the flagship brand that its business segments (EFT, epay and Money Transfer) and payments platforms (Dandelion and Ren) work to support. Typography and Design
The new Euronet logo uses a custom modern font. The deep blue color was retained from the company’s earlier branding, while the seafoam green was introduced as a new addition to the color palette. [1]
Euronet launched a brand center microsite at www.euronet.marketing that provides more information about the new brand and how to implement it, as well as download access to the new logos, fonts, presentation templates and color palettes. [1]
