Karaca Holding is a Turkish conglomerate whose visual identity is closely tied to the “Çift Geyik Karaca” (Double Deer Karaca) brand, a textile company founded in 1917 in Bandırma by Halil Karaca. The holding itself was established in 1974, following the re-registration of the “Çift Geyik Karaca” logo and trademark in 1973.[1] The deer motif has remained a central element of the brand’s identity through multiple corporate changes.
Design and History
The “Çift Geyik Karaca” logo and brand were re-registered in 1973, one year before Karaca Holding was formally established.[1] The double deer emblem has been a persistent feature of the brand, and in the 2000s it was carried over to a new sub-brand called TOSS, which used the same double deer logo with a more sporty design direction.[1]
In 2022, the Karaca brand (the home and living products company within the group, founded in 1973) unveiled a renewed logo. The redesign won a Crystal Apple Award in the Design and Identity Design category at the 34th Crystal Apple Awards ceremony.[2][3] The updated mark was described as a modern and minimalist interpretation aligned with the brand’s global growth ambitions.[3]

The 2022 Karaca logo draws inspiration from the deer motif, which is documented as a symbol of the Hittites, one of the oldest civilizations of Anatolia.
