Unione Industriali Torino is the territorial employers’ association for the province of Turin, Italy, affiliated with Confindustria. Founded on 19 July 1906 as the Lega Industriale, the organization adopted its current name in 2021 following a merger with AMMA, the local metalworking and mechanical industries association. The merger also brought a significant change to the organization’s visual identity: the new entity adopted the Confindustria “aquilotto” (eagle) as its sole logo. The plural “Industriali” in the new name was chosen to emphasize that all members must personally contribute to the economic growth and social progress of the territory. [1] [2] [3]

Design and History

In March 2026, Unione Industriali Torino unveiled a comprehensive brand identity refresh to mark the 120th anniversary of its founding. The project was developed internally by the association’s communications team. The creative concept draws from an architectural element of the organization’s headquarters on Via Manfredo Fanti 17: a sequence of 59 hexagonal bolts that form a pattern on the exterior wall of the building’s entrance, described by the association as a “true digital fingerprint.” [4] [5]

The hexagonal bolt motif becomes the foundation of the new visual system, with the bolt described as the “symbolic custodian of 120 years of history” that “splits its form and projects toward the future.” The official press release emphasizes that the redesign involves “no superfluous signs, only the evolution of an identity already engraved in the DNA” of the organization. A dedicated celebratory logo was also created for the anniversary, along with an institutional campaign using the claim “L’Unione dà la forza” (“The Union gives strength”) and the payoff “Ispiriamo imprese da 120 anni” (“We inspire businesses for 120 years”). The campaign is structured around three strategic pillars: grow, innovate, compete. [4] [5]

Prior to the 2026 refresh, the organization’s visual identity had been tied to the Confindustria eagle mark since the 2021 merger. Some sources attribute an earlier logo design to the renowned Italian type designer Aldo Novarese in 1964, though this attribution could not be verified through official or primary sources. [2]

Meaning and Symbolism

The hexagonal bolt motif in the 2026 identity is explicitly described as a symbol of Turin’s industrial solidity. The geometric rigor of the hexagons is reinterpreted as the central element of the new image, with the bolt representing continuity between past and future and serving as the “custodian of associative values.” The 59 bolts on the headquarters facade function as a distinctive architectural signature that the new visual system translates into a broader brand language.
