Hans Huber Metallbau is a Swiss metalworks brand. The “Hans Huber Metallbau” symbol was originally designed by Peter Kräuchi in 1950.[1]

Design and History

Peter Kräuchi was an active Swiss graphic designer in Bern, credited with poster designs for the Gewerbemuseum Bern and the Swiss Red Cross during the 1970s.[2][3] His work for Hans Huber Metallbau dates to 1950, placing the mark within the post-war period of Swiss graphic design.[1]

The logo is described as a “cut” design featuring a Switzerland cut shape.[1] The mark incorporates the outline of Switzerland as a graphic element, a direct reference to the company’s national origin.

While the original Hans Huber Metallbau identity dates to 1950, a separate company named Huber Metallbau AG was founded on 20 September 1978 and later moved its headquarters to Moosseedorf in the canton of Bern.[4] The relationship between the historical Hans Huber Metallbau brand and the current Huber Metallbau AG is not documented in available sources.
