Pillar (PLR) is the visual identity of the Pillar project, a blockchain-based platform focused on digital asset management and smart wallets. The project began with a successful ICO campaign and has since evolved into a self-custodial, multichain DeFi wallet governed by its PLR token.[1][2]
Design and History
In August 2020, Pillar introduced a new visual identity to reflect an updated company vision and refined product strategy. The rebrand accompanied new features and milestones reached by the project.[1]
The new logo features contemporary lettering for the wordmark, along with a separate logomark. The logomark is described as an isometric counterform of the letter P, with the empty square serving as a key visual element. The design was intentionally kept as simple as possible.[1]
Meaning and Symbolism
The logomark’s isometric counterform of the letter P directly ties the symbol to the Pillar name while providing a geometric, three-dimensional quality. The empty square within the mark creates a distinctive negative space that anchors the visual identity.[1]
Typography and Design
The 2020 rebrand introduced contemporary lettering for the Pillar wordmark, paired with the standalone logomark. The primary palette established in the rebrand uses black and light gray as neutral colors.[1]
