Design and History

Documented visual identity history for Nordiska is limited. The firm Nordiska Fondkommission AB was active in the Swedish securities market during the late 1990s and early 2000s, and was involved in transactions such as the 2000 sale of the internet broker Aktiedirekt to TeleTrade.[3] However, no verifiable records from the research connect a Nordiska logo to the design firm Hess and/or Antupit, which was founded in 1968 by Samuel N. Antupit and Richard Hess.[4]

Hess and/or Antupit was a New York design partnership active from 1968 to 1970, after which Antupit opened Antupit & Others Inc.[4] The firm produced work including a 1969 annual report for Restaurant Associates, credited to Hess and Antupit in the AIGA Design Archives.[5] No evidence in the research links this firm to any Nordiska entity or to a 1968 logo for an investments company.

Because the claim of a 1968 Hess and/or Antupit Nordiska logo cannot be verified through available sources, the specific design, its creator, and its intended symbolism remain unconfirmed.
