Crenzo is a Turkish eyewear brand established by entrepreneur Cihat Reyhan, who comes from a family with deep roots in the optical trade. Reyhan, born in Gaziantep in 1994, began working in his father’s optical shops as an apprentice at a young age and later launched the Crenzo brand after years of experience in the sector.[1] The brand produces sunglasses and optical frames in Gaziantep, with Reyhan stating the goal of introducing Crenzo first to Turkey and then to the world.[2]
Design and History
Crenzo was created after what Reyhan described as “long consultations” before the brand was formed and brought to market.[1] The brand name itself was the result of this deliberative process, with Reyhan noting that he built the product line around customer requests, desires and complaints, aiming for lightweight, comfortable and stylish designs.[2]
Reyhan also created additional eyewear brands, including Reysan and Geist, following his years of experience working alongside his father Cuma Reyhan under an established brand name.[3] The company behind Crenzo, Reysan Gözlük, is based in the Şehitkamil district of Gaziantep and lists its website as crenzooptik.com.[4]
Meaning and Symbolism
Documented information about the visual symbolism of the Crenzo logo is limited. What is known from published sources is that the brand was deliberately named and developed through an extended consultation process, with the founder emphasizing customer feedback as the basis for product development.[1] The brand’s positioning centers on lightweight construction, comfort and aesthetic appeal in its eyewear designs.[2]
