Alex Stroud

Alex Stroud is the personal brand of the London-based property buying agent who founded Alex Stroud Property Consultants in 2010. The mark was designed in 2010 by Paul Felton, then Creative Director at the London studio Purpose.

Alex Stroud is the personal brand of the London-based property buying agent who founded Alex Stroud Property Consultants in 2010 after two decades as a selling agent, latterly with Savills, covering prime central London.[1] The company was incorporated on 21 June 2010.[2] In 2020, Stroud joined forces with Johnny Fuller to create Stroud Fuller, and they were soon joined by Oliver Lurot, rebranding to Stroud Fuller Lurot.[3]

Design and History

The Alex Stroud mark was designed in 2010 by Paul Felton, then working at the London design studio Purpose.[4] Felton served as Creative Director at Purpose, a West London studio, before later co-founding the brand and design studio Common Curiosity.[5][6]

The logo is categorised as a monogram-style mark, created for a UK property brand.[4] The design coincided with the launch of Stroud’s independent consultancy, which he set up in 2010 after leaving Savills.[1]

Following the 2020 merger that created Stroud Fuller Lurot, the personal Alex Stroud brand was superseded by the partnership identity. The new firm operates as an independently owned property consultancy from 33 Mossop Street, London SW3.[7]

Meaning and Symbolism

The mark is recorded as a monogram design, but no official source describes specific symbolic meaning behind its form or construction.[4] Stroud’s business model was notably referral-based, with no advertising, a positioning that may have influenced the understated personal branding approach.[1]
