Anta Sports Products Limited, the Chinese sportswear company known for the ANTA brand, changed its corporate logo effective October 31, 2023. The board announced the change “to align with the Group’s corporate identity consistency,” with the new logo to be printed on corporate documents and used on the company’s website.[1]
Design and History
The ANTA brand was established in 1991, with ANTA Sports Products Limited listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2007.[2] The company’s mission is to integrate the sports spirit of “Going Beyond Oneself” into everyone’s daily life.[3]
The 2023 change shifted the logo from a standalone graphic symbol to a version that adds the “ANTA” lettering at the lower left of the graphic mark.[4] The graphic icon itself remained largely unchanged, though the red color was brightened in the new version.[5]
Meaning and Symbolism
The ANTA logo mark is built around a stylized letter “A,” formed by four arc lines of different radii that intersect to create an abstract image of something soaring upward.[6] The design is described as combining strength, speed and beauty in athletic motion, and symbolizing the brand’s pursuit of excellence and self-improvement.[7]
The name “Anta” derives from Greek, where it means “Mother Earth,” reflecting the brand’s broad vision and dedication to the world and humanity. Greece, as the birthplace of the modern Olympic Games, gives the name a connection to Olympic spirit and athletic movement.[6]
