Spartak Tirana, officially Klubi Futbollit Spartaku Tiranë, is an Albanian football club based in the capital city of Tirana. The club was originally founded in 1950 as the team of the trade unions, competed in the Kategoria Superiore in 1954, 1955 and 1957, and was dissolved in 1959 before being refounded in 2012.[1]
Design and History
Documented visual evidence for the Spartak Tirana crest is limited. The club’s Wikipedia entry includes a file titled “Spartaku Tiranë Club Logo.svg,” which is used in the infobox to represent the team’s identity.[2]
A separate vector file labeled “Spartaku Tirana (1950’s logo)” exists on the logo database Brands of the World, credited to designer Dmitry Lukyanchuk. That source describes the logo as currently active, but it is a fan-contributed recreation of a historical mark rather than an official club document.[3]
Because the club was dissolved in 1959 and refounded in 2012,[1] the current crest is presumed to date from the modern era, but no official announcement or primary source confirming its creation or redesign has been located.
Meaning and Symbolism
No official documentation has been found that explains the symbolism, colors, or shield shape of the Spartak Tirana crest. The club’s social colors are reported as purple, red and white in some references,[4] while the Italian Wikipedia entry lists violet as the social color.[5] These conflicting accounts, neither of which comes from an official club source, make it difficult to state the club’s colors with certainty.
