Verint, now describing itself as “The CX Automation Company,” is a customer experience software firm headquartered in Melville, New York. The company’s visual identity centers on a simple blue wordmark, a design that has remained consistent through several major corporate transformations, including its 2013 separation from Comverse Technology and its 2021 spin-off of its cyber intelligence business.
Design and History
Verint’s corporate roots trace back to February 1994, when it was incorporated in Delaware as Interactive Information Systems Corporation, a subsidiary of Comverse Technology focused on digital surveillance and communications interception products.[1] The unit was renamed Comverse Information Systems in 1996, then merged with another division in 1999 to become Comverse Infosys.[1] In February 2002, Comverse Infosys was renamed Verint Systems, Inc. in preparation for its initial public offering, which was completed in May 2002.[1]
Verint became fully independent in February 2013 after its shareholders approved buying out Comverse Technology’s stake, making it a standalone company with no controlling shareholder.[2] In December 2019, Verint announced plans to separate into two independent public companies, with the Cyber Intelligence Solutions business spun off as Cognyte Software Ltd. in February 2021.[3] Following that separation, Verint positioned itself as a pure-play customer engagement vendor.[3]
In November 2025, private equity firm Thoma Bravo completed its acquisition of Verint and combined it with portfolio company Calabrio.[4] In February 2026, the combined organization announced it would move forward under the single corporate name Verint, with the Calabrio product name retained as part of the Verint CX Automation Platform.[5]
Meaning and Symbolism
The current Verint wordmark consists of the word “verint” rendered in lowercase letters in blue, with blue claimed as a feature of the mark in a U.S. trademark filing.[6] The company’s trademark usage guidelines require that the Verint name be used exactly as supplied, without alteration to the design, words, colors, or proportions.[7] No official documentation of additional symbolic meaning behind the wordmark has been published by the company.
Typography and Design
The Verint wordmark uses a lowercase sans-serif letterform, though the specific typeface has not been publicly identified by the company. The geometric “V” shape from the logo has been used as a decorative motif in Verint office environments, including reception areas and fabric patterns.[8] Verint’s intellectual property page confirms that the company maintains registered and unregistered trademarks for its name and associated product branding, and requires proper attribution such as “Verint is a registered trademark of Verint Systems Inc. or its subsidiaries.”[7]
