Razor Logo PNG
Razor’s logo pairs a red, jagged circular emblem with the black word “Razor.” The emblem sits to the left of the wordmark in the full lockup and is also shown on its own.
Meaning and History
Razor USA was founded in Cerritos, California, in June 2000 by Carlton Calvin with J.D Components Co., Ltd. The company’s first product was a folding kick scooter, and a 2001 Entrepreneur profile describes Calvin as Razor USA’s president. The company’s start and the history of the RAZOR trademark are related, but they are not the same milestone.
2000 – now

This archive stage shows the full lockup: a ring-shaped red emblem with pointed teeth around a central opening, beside a thick black wordmark. The wordmark uses rounded, connected-looking letterforms, while the emblem’s angular outline gives the two elements a clear visual contrast. The heading is an archive label, not evidence that this exact artwork has been used continuously since 2000.
The trademark record documents several related registrations, rather than a complete visual redesign timeline. J.D Components filed the RAZOR mark for motorized scooters in 2000; it was registered in 2003 and is now recorded in Razor USA LLC’s name. The registration states that color is not claimed as a feature. The record also lists renewals in 2012 and 2023, and a new standard-character RAZOR application filed in June 2025 (trademark record).
Emblem and Symbol

The emblem-only version makes the red, toothed ring the sole graphic element. Its open center and pointed outer edge remain distinct without the wordmark, while the full lockup uses the lettering to spell out the brand name. The images show the emblem’s form and color, but do not establish what it was intended to symbolize.
Other RAZOR word-and-design and stylized marks were registered in 2002 and 2003, and a design mark for AUTHENTIC BLACK LABEL RAZOR was registered in 2013. These filings document trademark activity, not dated changes to the logo pictured here (USPTO Trademark Trial and Appeal Board filing; USPTO filing).
Razor remains an active brand: the trademark docket lists the 2023 renewal and 2025 application, and company profiles list Razor as active (trademark record; company profile).
