Concord Films is a Mexican film production company active since at least the early 1970s. The company is documented as the producer behind the 1973 short film Sentinels of Silence, which was presented under the name Producciones Concord.[1]
Design and History
Documentation of Concord Films’ visual identity is limited. The company’s 1977 logo has been attributed to Mexican designer Fernando Rión, though this attribution could not be independently verified through available sources. Rión is better known as the founder of the fashion brand Ferrioni, established in 1985, and as the son of José Rión, owner of the Camisería Savoy shirt shop popular in Mexico City during the 1940s and 1960s.[2][3]
No reliable primary sources describing the visual elements of the 1977 Concord Films mark were located in this research. The company’s early identity appears to have been used under the name Producciones Concord, as seen in the credit for Sentinels of Silence.[1]
Meaning and Symbolism
Documented symbolism for the Concord Films logo could not be established from available sources. The design intent, if any, behind the 1977 mark remains unverified.
