Nomad Foods Limited is a frozen food company headquartered in the United Kingdom, whose portfolio includes Birds Eye, Findus, iglo, Ledo and Frikom.[1] The company was formed in 2015 following the acquisition of iglo Group.[2] Its corporate identity has undergone a documented brand evolution led by designers working with McCann London, the agency that held Nomad Foods’ creative account from 2020 until 2024.[3][4]
Design and History
Nomad Foods’ corporate logo is a typographic wordmark. Brand asset databases record the current mark in a deep blue tone, with Brandfetch listing the primary brand color as #005186.[5] The company also filed a UK trademark application for a logo mark in August 2024 under Nomad Foods Europe Ipco Limited.[6]
In recent years, Nomad Foods undertook a brand evolution project developed while its creative account was held by McCann London. A lead designer on that project described it as driven by an ambition to build a more progressive, future-facing identity after years without a major refresh.[3] The rebrand was anchored around the idea of discovery, reflecting the company’s focus on finding better ways to work, source and nourish.[3] The project included logo design, icon design, illustration direction and guidelines creation.[3]
In October 2024, Nomad Foods appointed Havas as its pan-European strategic and creative agency following a competitive pitch, replacing McCann London.[7] The company stated that Havas demonstrated a compelling, long-term vision for the evolution of Nomad Foods’ brand platforms and communications.[7]
Meaning and Symbolism
Documented symbolism for the Nomad Foods corporate mark is limited. The brand evolution project positioned Nomad not as a company standing still, but one constantly adapting and leading, shaping the future of food.[3] To support this positioning, the design team developed a flexible brand asset: a single, multi-dimensional illustration created with Febin Raj, designed to scale across campaigns and audiences as a visual ecosystem or dynamic map of Nomad’s mission and values.[3]
Note that Nomad Foods’ sub-brands, including Birds Eye, Findus and Goodfella’s, maintain their own distinct logos and packaging identities. For example, Goodfella’s unveiled a fresh new logo and packaging design in 2024,[8] and Birds Eye launched a new Masterbrand campaign in August 2025 as the first Nomad Foods brand to use a new Europe-wide campaign platform.[9] These sub-brand identities are separate from the Nomad Foods corporate wordmark.
