Design and History

Bruno K. Wiese (1922-2011) was a German graphic and communication designer who studied at the Staatliche Hochschule für bildende Künste in Berlin under O.H.W. Hadank from 1945 to 1949. After working as Hadank’s assistant, he established his own studio in Hamburg in 1954 with his wife Ruth. The studio focused on packaging design for the German tobacco industry, and Wiese also designed nearly 40 stamps for the German Bundespost and two for the United Nations.[1]

Wiese’s documented logo work includes a 1975 identity for the German Aerospace Centre (DLR), which he described as a conceptual model that could be used for TV screens or giant-size projection, tilted at a special angle to capture the image of a flying object.[2] He also won awards for packaging for Henkell Sekt in 1970 and for the Kieler Woche sailing festival in 1971 and 1977.[1]

No reliable source confirms that Wiese designed a Delta pharmaceutical logo in 1967. The claim appears only in unverified secondary material and could not be substantiated through primary or authoritative references.
