Cars24, the India-based used-car platform founded in 2015, unveiled a refreshed brand identity in February 2026. The update moved the wordmark from an assertive all-caps “CARS24” to a sentence-case “Cars24” and introduced a new open circular logo alongside a brighter blue brand color.[1]
Design and History
Cars24 entered the market in 2015 with an all-caps identity, CARS24, which the company described as bold and assertive, designed to break through resistance in a fragmented and opaque market.[1] As the platform matured and customer engagement shifted from one-time transactions to repeat interactions across life stages, the company decided the louder identity no longer fit its evolving role.[1]
Vikram Chopra, Founder and CEO of Cars24, explained the reasoning: “When we started, being loud helped. But as the company and the team grew up, the work started speaking for itself. This change is about reflecting who we are today, calmer, more human and focused on earning trust over time.”[2]
The refreshed identity was developed over more than 1,200 hours of design and iteration, with a focus on simplicity, longevity and adaptability.[1] The company stated the new visual language was intended to remain relevant as Cars24 entered a more mature phase of growth.[1]
Meaning and Symbolism
At the centre of the new identity is an open circular logo, intentionally designed to represent continuity rather than completion.[2] Cars24 says the circle reflects how car ownership actually works in real life: cars change hands, needs evolve and value continues across different phases.[2] The open form signals flexibility and movement, rather than closure.[2]
The shift from all-caps to sentence case was described by the company as reflecting maturity and confidence, a brand that no longer needs to announce itself loudly but instead shows up consistently and responsibly.[2]
Typography and Design
Alongside the logo, Cars24 updated its brand colour. The familiar blue was replaced with what the team called a “younger blue,” described as brighter, clearer and more alive.[2] The company said the new blue reflects how it wants to show up for customers: present, attentive and human, carrying the belief that trust does not need to feel distant to be credible and that scale does not have to come at the cost of warmth.[2]
The rebrand also reinforced Cars24’s long-term vision of “Better Drives, Better Lives,” reaffirming its commitment to helping customers make smarter decisions around buying, selling and owning cars.[1]
