Nawinta Mineralbrunnen is a German beverage brand associated with soft drinks and table water, historically produced under license and distributed across Bavaria. The brand name appears in connection with products such as Nawinta Orangen-Limonade and Nawinta Tafelwasser, with current distribution linked to Getränke Wimmer in Mitterskirchen.[1][2]

Design and History

Documented evidence for the Nawinta visual identity is limited. The brand name dates to at least the 1940s, when a lemonade base was sourced from Bad Windsheim and the resulting drink was sold under the widely known trademark “Nawinta” under license.[3] A 2023 report in the Süddeutsche Zeitung confirms that this lemonade was distributed throughout Bavaria under the Nawinta brand name.[4]

No reliable source documents a specific logo design, a 1979 creation date, or an attribution to a designer named Manfred Wutke for the Nawinta brand. A Manfred Wutke is listed as a graphic design professional in Nuremberg, but no source connects him to Nawinta.[5] The Getty Research ULAN database lists a German painter and graphic artist named Manfred Wotke (born 1935), but again, no link to Nawinta is documented.[6]

Meaning and Symbolism

Because no primary or secondary source documents the meaning, symbolism, or design intent behind any Nawinta logo, no verified claims can be made about its visual elements or their significance. The brand name itself is the only aspect with documented historical context, tied to a lemonade product that became well known in Bavaria in the postwar decades.[4]
