Design and History

Documented evidence of a logo for Arnold Neuweiler AG designed by Marcel Wyss in 1955 is not available in the research sources. The Swiss graphic designer and artist Marcel Wyss (1930–2012) was active as an independent graphic designer and created numerous logos for companies and institutions during his career. [3] However, no source in the research connects Wyss specifically to Arnold Neuweiler AG or to a 1955 logo for the company.

Wyss trained as a graphic designer between 1946 and 1950 and studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule Bern. He later worked with Karl Gerstner at the agency GGK (Gerstner, Gredinger + Kutter) in Basel. [4] His documented logo work includes the 1962 mark for the Schweizerischer Werkbund and the 1962 “Electrolux 3” symbol. [3] [5]

Because the company was founded in 1958, a logo designed in 1955 would predate the firm’s establishment. [1] The attribution of a 1955 Marcel Wyss logo to Arnold Neuweiler AG therefore appears inconsistent with the available records and cannot be verified.
