Kajaanin Hokki, commonly known as Hokki, is a Finnish ice hockey team based in Kajaani, founded in 1968.[1] The club has competed in Mestis, Finland’s second-tier league, during the periods 2002–2017 and from 2019 onward.[2] The team’s official colors are blue, white, and red, with blue used for home jerseys and white for away jerseys.[2][3]
Design and History
Hokki’s visual identity has undergone at least one notable change in recent years. Fan discussions from August 2023 reference a “Linna-logo” (castle logo) that was used previously, alongside a newer logo that some supporters criticized and asked the club to replace.[4] The same discussion indicates that the club’s primary jersey colors were also a point of debate, with some fans calling for a return to red and white as the main colors.[4]
The current logo’s designer and the exact date of the redesign have not been publicly documented in available sources.
Meaning and Symbolism
No official documentation has been found that explains the symbolic meaning of Hokki’s current logo elements. The club’s identity is primarily defined by its documented color scheme of blue, white, and red, which appears across team materials and is listed as the club’s official colors.[2][3]
