Team SoloMid (TSM) is an American professional esports organization established in 2009 by Andy “Reginald” Dinh. The organization fields competitive teams across multiple titles, including League of Legends, and describes itself as a premier esports organization with a global presence. [1]
Design and History
TSM’s visual identity is built around a circular emblem that combines the letters T, S, and M into a single mark. The logo is described as a round, clean, and simple design that integrates the three initials into a cohesive circular form. [2] The organization’s brand colors are documented as black and white. [3]
In June 2021, TSM announced a 10-year, $210 million naming rights deal with cryptocurrency exchange FTX, officially changing the organization’s name to Team SoloMid FTX. [4] The rebrand was described as marking a new era for the rosters the organization fields in games such as League of Legends and Valorant. [5] However, Riot Games, which organizes the League of Legends and Valorant leagues TSM competes in, did not allow the organization to use the new name or display “FTX” on uniforms during competitions due to sponsorship restrictions on cryptocurrency exchanges. [4]
In November 2022, following FTX’s collapse, TSM suspended its partnership with the exchange effective immediately. The organization stated that FTX branding would no longer appear on any of its organization, team, or player social media profiles, and would be removed from player jerseys. [6] The logo on the TSM website was changed to remove FTX branding at that time. [6]
TSM’s parent company is Swift Media Entertainment (SME), which builds, develops, and operates companies in the esports, gaming, and technology industries. [3]
