Svedka’s logo is a compact wordmark: the name appears in bold white capitals across a deep-blue horizontal rectangle. In this archive image, the letters fill most of the band’s width, making the name the sole visual focus. The image shows a logo asset, but does not establish when the design was introduced or whether it is used on current packaging.

Meaning and history

The name combines the Swedish word svenska with “vodka,” according to Liquor.com. Guillaume Cuvelier launched the brand and first imported it to the United States in 1998. Constellation Brands announced its purchase in 2007 for $384 million; the company reported the sale completed in March that year (Constellation Brands).

On bottles, the wordmark has appeared on a horizontal white or coloured band. A 2011 redesign by New York agency Established paired that treatment with a tapered bottle and a glass collar below the cap. The band was intended to keep the name readable in different settings, as reported by Packaging of the World. In 2013, Established extended the packaging approach across the range, using shrink-wrap and saturated colours (Packaging of the World).

The band could adapt to different products. For Svedka Rosé, launched in February 2019 as the brand’s first vodka line extension, “SVEDKA” gave way to “Rosé” in hand-drawn script on the white band. On ready-to-drink cans, the bold horizontal band was turned on its side, according to Packaging of the World.

Today

Svedka Logo

This second archive image repeats the white uppercase wordmark on a deep-blue rectangle, here against a white canvas rather than black. The background difference is visible, but neither image dates the logo or confirms its present use. The “Today” heading is an archive label, not evidence that this artwork is current. Svedka has been owned by Sazerac since the sale from Constellation Brands closed on 6 January 2025, as reported by Brewbound.
