Jacques Dessange Logo PNG
The Jacques Dessange logo pairs the large name DESSANGE with the smaller word INTERNATIONAL and a prominent circular device divided by a vertical bar. The lettering and colors change while the device remains a central feature of the composition.
Jacques Dessange opened his first salon in Paris in 1954, and accounts date the launch of his own-name brand to 1966. RTBF’s obituary recounts both milestones. The name that began on a Paris salon became the core of a wider hairdressing business.
Meaning and history
The logo’s main visual elements are its oversized name, the smaller secondary line and the circular form behind the lettering. In the earlier artwork, green capitals and gold secondary text contrast with the gray device. In the later artwork, black lettering and the gray device create a more restrained palette. The circle and vertical bar make the mark recognizable beyond its lettering alone.

The montage places the two compositions side by side. Its earlier design gives INTERNATIONAL a gold accent and uses tall, narrow lettering for DESSANGE; the other design switches to black lettering with broader proportions and more open spacing. In both, the device overlaps the wordmark and extends beyond its letterforms.
???? – 2015

This stage sets DESSANGE in tall, narrow green capitals, with INTERNATIONAL beneath it in smaller, widely spaced gold letters. A large gray circular device, divided by a vertical bar, sits behind and across the two lines. The difference in scale and color separates the main name from the secondary wording.
2015 – Today

Here, DESSANGE appears in black capitals with INTERNATIONAL below in smaller, widely spaced lettering. The gray device still occupies the center of the design, rising above and extending below the words. Compared with the preceding stage, the main letters look broader and the color contrast is simpler.
Identity and naming
A 2004 report in Dutch trade magazine MOMAG describes a change to the name Dessange Paris and the unveiling of a new logo. It provides a separate naming milestone in the brand’s history. MOMAG’s report is the source for that account.
