Omega Construction, Inc. is a commercial general contractor and design-builder founded in 1975 in North Carolina. The company introduced its current corporate brand and logo in June 2016, replacing an earlier identity that had been in use for decades. The 2016 rebrand was announced alongside the opening of a branch office in Richmond Hill, Georgia, serving the Savannah market. [1]

Design and History

Omega Construction was founded on January 1, 1975, borrowing its name from a nearby golf ball. The company’s motto, “We Build Trust,” became the foundation on which the business was built and continues to guide it today. [2]

On June 17, 2016, Omega introduced its new corporate brand and logo at a Winston-Salem Dash employee outing. The rebranding was described by the company as reflecting both the evolution of the company and its vision for the future. [1] The new identity was also tied to the company’s transition toward greater capabilities and market reach, as it expanded into the Savannah, Georgia region. [3]

The 2016 logo features a pyramid symbol composed of bands, with the word “OMEGA” to the right and a horizontal line underlining the word, with “CONSTRUCTION” underneath. Below the triangle is the wording “WE BUILD TRUST.” [4]

Meaning and Symbolism

According to Omega’s official announcement, the new pyramid symbol “provides a portal to insight, a means of focus.” The company stated that the logo evokes strength, innovation and durability. [1] The Tilt-Up Concrete Association, of which Omega is a member, similarly describes the pyramid design as symbolizing strength, innovation and durability, embodying the company’s commitment to building a foundation of trust. [5]

Typography and Design

Omega’s 2016 rebrand introduced a new typeface described by the company as lending “a modern, clean look” with angles that are “precise and recognizable.” The color palette uses red, white and blue, which the company said focuses on “depth, precision and expertise while celebrating our American identity.” [1]
