Independent Reserve is a cryptocurrency exchange founded in 2013 and based in Sydney, Australia, offering a platform for buying and selling digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.[1] The company was established by Adam Tepper, Adrian Przelozny and Lasanka Perera.[2] In 2025, trading firm IG Group agreed to acquire Independent Reserve for A$178 million, with plans to retain the Independent Reserve brand and integrate its product into IG’s trading platforms, initially in Australia and Singapore.[3]
Design and History
The Independent Reserve logo is available in vector SVG format, indicating a simple, scalable mark designed for digital and print applications.[4] Brand asset databases list the logo’s primary color as a dark navy blue, recorded as hex code #0C1946, a shade sometimes called “Blue Zodiac.”[5] The same source also lists an antique brass tone (#CA9F6A) among the brand’s colors, suggesting a secondary accent used in the identity system.[5]
The logo has remained consistent enough that brand databases list a single current version without noting prior iterations.[5]
Meaning and Symbolism
Independent Reserve has not published an official explanation of the symbolism behind its logo. The mark’s wing-like form was referenced in a 2025 sponsorship announcement for the World Corporate Golf Challenge Singapore, which described a commemorative logo depicting “the wings of IR’s logo” alongside the event’s own branding.[6] This is the only documented description of the logo’s visual elements found in available sources.
Typography and Design
The logo file is compact, at roughly 992 bytes in SVG format, which indicates a relatively simple geometric construction rather than a complex illustration.[7] The logo is also offered in light and dark variants for use on different backgrounds.[8]
