Buckle for Dust was a London-based theatre company founded in 2008 by director Lisa Spirling, producers Claire Birch and Juliette Rawlins, and writers Ali Taylor and Lou Ramsden.[1] The company was incorporated on 20 March 2008 and dissolved on 5 August 2025.[2] Its inaugural production, Cotton Wool, opened at Theatre503 in April 2008.[3]
Design and History
Buckle for Dust unveiled its logo in April 2008, designed by the London design consultancy Radford Wallis.[4] The identity was created for use across all marketing material, including stationery, posters, programmes and the company website.[4]
Meaning and Symbolism
According to Radford Wallis creative director Stuart Radford, the logo’s central “B” design can be viewed from two perspectives and is deliberately “slightly off-kilter” to reflect the spirit of the fairytale and myth-based plays the theatre company would be showing.[4]
