Dermadental was a Dublin-based facial cosmetic and dental clinic operated by dentist Danielle Meagher, who was widely known in the Irish press as “Dr Botox.” The clinic operated from St Martin’s House on Waterloo Road in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, with a second location at Malahide Marina.[1] The practice was described in contemporary coverage as “DermaDental Facial Cosmetic & Dental Clinic.”[2]
Design and History
Dermadental was active as a branded clinic by at least 2008, when Meagher’s company was reported to have launched a new rugby mouth guard under the DermaDental name.[3] The clinic attracted celebrity clients, including former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton, who was photographed visiting the Ballsbridge location in June 2009.[4]
By October 2012, the clinic was operating as Dermadental Limited, with locations at St Martin’s House, Waterloo Road, and Malahide Marina.[5] The company name Dermadental Ltd was later registered in the United Kingdom in October 2019, though this entity is separate from the original Irish clinic.[6]
Meaning and Symbolism
The Dermadental name is a portmanteau combining “derma” (skin) and “dental,” reflecting the clinic’s dual focus on facial cosmetic treatments and dentistry. The practice was described in press coverage as a “facial cosmetic and dental clinic,”[2] and Meagher was identified as both a dentist and a provider of aesthetic medicine treatments such as Botox.[5]
