Verlag für Technik und Wirtschaft was a German technical and business publisher based in Wiesbaden, later operating as Verlag für Technik und Wirtschaft VTW GmbH & Co. KG in Mainz. The company published trade journals including Der Konstrukteur and Der Betriebsleiter from the 1970s onward.[1][2]

Design and History

The publisher operated under the name Verlag für Technik und Wirtschaft Meynen KG in Wiesbaden during the 1970s and 1980s,[1] and the corporate entity was converted from a GmbH based in Wiesbaden to a GmbH & Co. KG in Mainz effective 24 June 1970.[3] The company later became known by the abbreviation VTW.[2]

No primary or authoritative secondary source has been located that documents a 1969 logo for this publisher, its visual appearance, or an attribution to designers Heinz Kröhl and Peter Offenberg. While both designers are documented as having worked together, the available evidence places their collaboration on other projects, such as a library signet selected in 1979.[4] The claim of a 1969 Verlag für Technik und Wirtschaft logo by Kröhl and Offenberg cannot be verified from the research sources available.
