Franklin Pierce University’s athletic teams, the Ravens, compete as an NCAA Division II program in Rindge, New Hampshire. The university lists the team name as Ravens and its official colors as Crimson and Gray.[1]
Design and History
The Franklin Pierce Ravens athletics department distributes two official logo variations through its athletic communications office: a Primary Logo and a Raven Head mark. Both are offered in separate print and digital formats, available as JPEG, EPS, and PNG files.[2] The department also publishes a dedicated Franklin Pierce Athletics Style Guide to govern usage of these marks.[2]
The university’s visual identity policy restricts the colors used on athletic apparel and uniforms to Crimson, Gray, Black, and White.[3] The policy also notes that certain logos are reserved for use only in conjunction with Pierce Pride events.[3]
The university’s live mascot is Rocky the Raven. In January 2011, the athletics department debuted a new mascot costume, “Rocky the Raven II,” at halftime of a men’s soccer match.[4]
