KF Iliria Fushë-Krujë, commonly known as KF Iliria, is an Albanian football club based in the town of Fushë-Krujë. The club plays its home games at the Redi Maloku Stadium and currently competes in the Kategoria e Parë, the second tier of Albanian football.[1] The club was founded in 1991 and had one season in the Albanian Superliga after winning promotion in 1994.[1]
Design and History
The club’s visual identity is documented in historical logo records. A vector logo for KS Iliria Fushë-Krujë, dated to 1990, is available through Brands of the World, a community-driven logo archive.[2] The French Wikipedia article on the club includes a section titled “Logos de l’histoire du club” (Logos from the club’s history), indicating that multiple crest iterations have existed over time.[3]
In official club communications, KF Iliria refers to itself as “bardheblu” (white and blue), a term used in the club’s own announcements. When introducing a new head coach in January 2026, the club stated: “The Italo-Argentine takes charge of the bardheblu with clear objectives for the season. We welcome him to the bardheblu family.”[4] This self-description confirms white and blue as the club’s identifying colors in its current era.
Meaning and Symbolism
The club’s name derives from the Illyrians, the ancient people who inhabited the western Balkans, including the territory of modern Albania. The name is a direct reference to this regional heritage.
Typography and Design
A logo file for the club hosted on Brands of the World credits a user named Dmitry Lukyanchuk with the vector recreation, but this is a contributor credit for the digital file, not an attribution of the original design.[2]
Historical color references for the club vary across sources. Italian Wikipedia lists the club’s social colors as white and violet,[5] while other sources have described the colors as blue and white[6] or red and black.[7] The club’s own recent communications use “bardheblu” (white and blue), which aligns with the blue and white description.[4] Given these conflicting accounts, the precise historical color palette remains uncertain without access to the club’s official branding materials.
