The William Jewell Cardinals are the athletic teams of William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. The college competes in NCAA Division II as a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), a conference it joined in 2011 after transitioning from the NAIA’s Heart of America Athletic Conference.[1]

William Jewell’s official colors are cardinal red and black, which were officially adopted as the college colors in 1944, though they had been used for athletic uniforms before 1907.[2] The mascot is the cardinal, and the athletics nickname is the Cardinals.[3]
