Rokt is a global ecommerce technology company founded in Sydney in 2012 by Justin Viles and Bruce Buchanan, who acquired Rocklive to create the business. The company is headquartered in New York City and provides AI-powered transaction marketing solutions to brands including Live Nation, PayPal, Uber, and Hulu. [1]
Design and History
Rokt’s logo is a lowercase wordmark featuring a distinctive “K” that the company explicitly protects in its brand guidelines. The guidelines instruct users to “never swap the ‘K’ for a normal one,” indicating the letterform is a custom, defining element of the identity. [2] The logo is described by Rokt as capturing “the essence of our brand: bold and unique.” [2]
In July 2026, Rokt announced the creation of “Beetroot by Rokt,” a proprietary color developed in partnership with the Pantone Color Institute. This made Rokt the first ecommerce technology company to standardize a Pantone brand color. [3] The certification formalized “the bold fuchsia that has been part of Rokt’s identity since the company’s founding in Sydney in 2012.” [3] The color is intended to serve as a consistent visual signature across Rokt’s physical, digital, and experiential presence worldwide. [3]
Rokt’s brand system also includes a graphic device called the Connector, which the company describes as embodying “energy, speed, magnetism and precise connections–between brands, customers and products or experiences.” [4] The Connector appears in two states, isolated and activated, and is used in partnership lockups where partner logos appear first, separated from Rokt’s logo by the Connector. [2]
Meaning and Symbolism
Rokt’s official brand guidelines describe the Connector as “the heartbeat of Rokt and a visual representation of who we are and what we do best.” [4] The company’s brand strategy centers on “unlocking real-time relevance in the moment that matters most – The Transaction Moment.” [5]
Regarding the signature color, Elizabeth Buchanan, Chief Commercial Officer at Rokt, stated: “For more than a decade, Beetroot has been part of Rokt’s identity. Partnering with Pantone to establish Beetroot by Rokt gives us a globally recognized visual signature that reflects the confidence, ambition, and distinctiveness that have defined our company from the beginning.” [3]
Typography and Design
Rokt’s primary brand typeface is Archivo, which the company states “can be used in different weights and colors, depending on application but always this font.” [6] The brand uses Archivo in Regular, Medium, and Semibold weights, with Roboto Mono as a secondary typeface reserved for notations and eyebrow treatments. [6]
Rokt’s official color palette consists of black and white as core colors, with Beetroot (#AD0068) reserved for bold statements and Wine (#480029) used in supportive roles. [7] The brand guidelines state that black and white “create a timeless and confident foundation for Beetroot’s energy and personality to shine through on key elements such as CTAs, headlines or the Connector.” [7]
Rokt’s logo usage rules require the logo to remain monochromatic in most applications, with black on white or white on black versions preferred. Multicolor and Beetroot versions are reserved for visually busy environments and require prior approval. [2]
