Ojo Logo PNG
Ojo is a Cypriot eyewear retailer selling its own-brand sunglasses and optical frames. Its first store opened in Ayia Napa in March 2011, after the business idea took shape in 2010, according to InBusinessNews and the EY founder profile. The mark’s defining feature is a wordmark arranged to suggest a face.
Meaning and history

InBusinessNews reported that the logo was developed before the name, and that the name was chosen to fit it. The founders described its form as “two eyes and a nose”; the name, pronounced as written, is simply the brand name. This account supports the face-like reading without assigning a separate symbolic meaning to the colors or shapes. Read the publication’s account of Ojo’s name and logo.
The stages below show a sequence of green oval badges, followed by a gold letterform mark. Their dates are labels in the pictured chronology, not verified redesign dates. The documented business began in 2010 and opened its first store in 2011, which does not support the chronology’s 1968 label. Ojo’s 2024 magazine describes the brand as offering affordable eyewear; InBusinessNews has reported more than 40 stores in six countries, while a 2025 profile gave a figure of 30. Ojo’s 2024 magazine and the 2025 profile provide those differing network counts.
1968 – 2000, 2012 – 2015

This stage shows white lowercase “Ojo” inside a broad, bright-green oval. The rounded letters are arranged with two O shapes on either side of the J, making the face-like layout especially clear. The heading’s 1968 date is inconsistent with the documented 2010 business idea and 2011 store opening, so it should not be read as Ojo’s confirmed origin.
2005 – 2012

The next image keeps the white lettering and green oval, but the badge appears more compact and layered. It also includes a red “Nuevo” label above the oval, a visible feature of this image rather than a documented part of the logo’s name or meaning.
2015 – ????

Here the oval becomes a dark-green roundel with a thin pale border. The white lowercase letters are italicized and have a pronounced dark shadow, giving the wordmark more depth than the flatter green badges shown earlier.
????- Today

This stage shows a gold-colored, angular monogram on white. Its joined letterforms create a compact face-like arrangement without an enclosing oval. The image identifies it as a Today stage, but its current use is not confirmed.
Across the sequence, the main change is from a wordmark placed inside a green oval to a gold mark formed from joined letter shapes. The documented description of two eyes and a nose helps explain the face-like reading; it does not establish a particular meaning for the green or gold colors.
