Bybit is a cryptocurrency exchange founded in 2018 that has undergone two documented visual identity updates: a 2021 refresh that introduced the candlestick-inspired “I,” and a major July 2025 rebrand centered on the letter “I” as the core brand symbol. The current identity, launched with the #IMakeIt campaign, treats the “I” as both a wordmark element and a standalone brand icon.
Design and History
Bybit launched in March 2018 as a derivatives-focused trading platform. In July 2021, the company unveiled a new logo as part of a broader platform refresh that included a new homepage design, UI, and mobile interface. The 2021 redesign lifted the “I” in Bybit to represent a candlestick graph, which the company described as “the embodiment of constant movement in the ever-changing crypto market.”[1][2]
In July 2025, Bybit announced a transformative rebranding with the #IMakeIt campaign, described by the company as “a full-scale reset of Bybit’s identity and purpose.”[3] The rollout was phased: a public brand launch in early July 2025, an app refresh with UI and icon updates in mid-July, a website refresh shortly after, and continued rollout across regional adaptations and global events from August onward.[3]
Bybit’s creative brand lead, Louise Kotze, explained the reasoning behind the reset: the previous identity had become fragmented, with “gold tones, inconsistent iconography, visuals leaning heavily into business-unit silos.” The company sought a brand reset “not just to look different, but to feel different: clearer, with purpose, clarity.”[4]
Meaning and Symbolism
At the core of Bybit’s 2025 identity is the letter “I,” which the company says symbolizes identity, innovation, and intention. It is described as “personal, powerful, and represents every user shaping the future alongside Bybit.”[3] Bybit’s official announcement similarly states that the “I” stands for Identity, Innovation, and Interconnection.[5]
Claudia Wang, Bybit’s Head of Marketing, expanded on the symbol’s layered meaning: “I” stands for innovation, symbolizes infinity, represents “me” (every user achieving their true self on the platform), and carries a hint of Noah’s Ark, with Bybit as the vessel that can carry users “farther and safer.”[6] The company aims for the “orange I” to become a recognizable brand symbol in its own right, and has extended the motif into product naming, including iCopy for copy trading and iFlow for liquidity products.[6]
Typography and Design
The 2025 rebrand introduced a new visual language with different colors from the previous identity. The pre-rebrand palette used an orange around #F7A600 with a dark tone around #15192A, while the new identity uses a different color system.[7] Brand asset aggregator Brandfetch lists Bybit’s current brand color as Web Orange (#F6A500).[8] The new visual language is described as “more human-centric, simple, and of high quality,” with a minimalistic design approach applied across the app and interface.[6]
No external design agency or typeface has been publicly documented for either the 2021 or 2025 logo updates.
