Evidation Health is a digital health company founded in 2012 and headquartered in California. The company builds technology that measures and improves health in everyday life using permissioned, person-generated health data from sources such as smartphones and wearables.[1]
Design and History
Evidation Health has registered several distinct marks with the USPTO over its history, reflecting different products and phases of the brand. The company’s earliest wordmark filing, EVIDATION HEALTH, was submitted in 2015 for business consulting and software-as-a-service in the healthcare information technology industry.[2]
In 2017, Evidation filed a trademark for the word EVIDATION described as “the word EVIDATION in black font with a circle shape in the color of goldenrod located on the top of the V.” That application was later abandoned.[3] A similar mark was registered in the UK, also described as the word EVIDATION in black font with a goldenrod circle positioned on top of the V, with black and goldenrod claimed as features of the mark.[4]
In December 2021, Evidation filed a trademark application for a stylized letter “e” covering a downloadable mobile application for aggregating health data and tracking health outcomes. The mark was registered in September 2024.[5][6] A separate EVIDATION wordmark application was filed in 2023 for technology services enabling users to aggregate health data and track health outcomes.[7]
The company also registered a mark for its Achievement platform. The ACHIEVEMENT trademark, registered in 2020, is described as a triangle with thick borders and a hollow center, with the word “ACHIEVEMENT” positioned to the right of the triangle and in line with its bottom.[8] An earlier 2018 filing for the same mark claimed mint green and black as colors, describing a mint green triangle with thick borders and a hollow center.[9]
Meaning and Symbolism
The goldenrod circle placed on top of the V in the EVIDATION wordmark is the only distinctive graphic element described in official filings, though no official explanation of its meaning has been published.[4] The stylized letter “e” mark, registered for the company’s mobile application, is described only as a stylized letter e with no color claimed.[5]
