The Pasching football identity is tied to a series of name and ownership changes that have reshaped the club’s visual presence since 2007. The municipality of Pasching in Upper Austria has been home to several clubs, and the current competitive side is known as FC Juniors OÖ, which was called FC Pasching until July 2017.[1]
Design and History
The club was founded on 16 May 2007 as FC Superfund Pasching, after the original ASKÖ Pasching (which had competed as FC Superfund) relocated to Carinthia and became SK Austria Kärnten.[1] The new club inherited the Pasching football tradition and the Waldstadion (now Raiffeisen Arena) as its home ground.[1]
From 2014 to 2018, the first team did not compete independently. Instead, it played in a syndicate with the second team of LASK under the name SPG FC Pasching/LASK Juniors, later renamed LASK Juniors OÖ.[1] In July 2017, the club itself was renamed FC Juniors OÖ, and the syndicate became LASK Juniors OÖ.[1]
With the return to the 2. Liga for the 2018-19 season, the club again fielded an independent team, though it effectively operated as a farm team of LASK.[1] After four seasons in the second tier, the club voluntarily withdrew from the 2. Liga following the 2021-22 season, despite the possibility of sporting survival.[1] The club then entered a new syndicate with the LASK amateurs under the name LASK Amateure OÖ in the Regionalliga.[1]
An archived logo of the club from the period before summer 2011 is documented as “FC Superfund Pasching,” reflecting the naming used during the sponsorship era.[1] The club colors are recorded as black, white, red and gold.[1]
Separately, the amateur club SV Pasching 16 was incorporated into FC Juniors OÖ in 2017 and then re-emerged as an independent club in the lower divisions.[1] SV Pasching 16 states that it carries the Pasching municipal colors on its chest.[2]
Meaning and Symbolism
Documented symbolism for the current FC Juniors OÖ crest is limited. The club’s official colors are listed as black, white, red and gold.[1] The municipal coat of arms of Pasching is a separate symbol managed by the Gemeinde (municipality), which regulates its use under the Upper Austrian municipal code.[3]
