Fusion (FSN) is a public blockchain protocol developed by the Fusion Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 2018 to build infrastructure for decentralized global finance.[1] The platform focuses on cross-chain, cross-organization, and cross-data source services through smart contracts, with its native token FSN used for network fees.[2] The Fusion mainnet launched on 30 June 2019.[3]
Design and History
The Fusion logo is a circular mark built from a single continuous path. The primary symbol, rendered in blue (#358dcc), combines a large sweeping curve with a smaller ring element at its lower right, suggesting motion and connection.[4] A second variant places the same mark on a white circle with the symbol recolored in a dark navy tone (#251d5b).[4]
The mark was added to the Instadapp chains repository in July 2024 as the official icon for the Fusion Mainnet and Testnet, with the SVG file referenced via IPFS.[4] The design’s flowing, orbital-like form aligns with the platform’s stated mission of connecting various values and integrating existing and future cryptocurrencies through distributed control rights management.[5]
Meaning and Symbolism
The Fusion Foundation describes its core technology, Distributed Control Rights Management (DCRM), as a cross-chain and cross-system solution that distributes and shards private keys across multiple nodes so no single participant controls user assets.[1] The logo’s continuous, interconnected form visually echoes this distributed security model, where no single point dominates the whole. The circular composition also reflects the platform’s goal of creating a borderless and connected financial system in the digital space.[1]
Typography and Design
Documented typography for the Fusion wordmark is limited. The official SVG icon files use a geometric construction with a viewBox of 48 by 51 units, and the mark is defined by a single path element with no additional decorative strokes.[4] The two documented color values are #358dcc (blue) for the primary mark and #251d5b (dark navy) for the variant used on a white background.[4]
