GameCredits (GAME) is a cryptocurrency project launched in early 2014, positioning itself as one of the first gaming-focused digital currencies.[1] The project’s official website describes GAME Credits as “the original gaming crypto,” developed for in-game purchases and gaming ecosystem transactions.[1]
Design and History
GameCredits was founded in 2014 as a fork of Litecoin, focusing on the gaming and esports industry.[2] The project was introduced to the GAME token when it was known as GamersCoin, a digital token that had been abandoned by its original developers.[3]
The current GameCredits logo is distributed as a square-format icon, available in PNG and SVG formats through cryptocurrency logo repositories.[4] The mark is rendered in a blue and white color scheme, as shown in the logo files distributed through these channels.[5]
Meaning and Symbolism
The blue and white palette is visually evident in the distributed logo files, but the project has not published an official explanation of its design intent.[5]
Typography and Design
The GameCredits wordmark appears alongside the circular emblem in the logo files distributed through cryptocurrency logo repositories.[4] The icon is also included in the open-source “Cryptocurrency Icons” set created by Christopher Downer, though this is a community-contributed icon pack rather than an official GameCredits design source.[6]
