Nexo is a digital assets wealth platform founded in 2018, offering crypto-backed credit lines, savings products, and trading tools across more than 200 jurisdictions.[1] The company unveiled a comprehensive rebrand on October 31, 2024, introducing a new logo, website, and user interface as part of its shift from a crypto lender to a full digital asset wealth platform.[2]
Design and History
The current Nexo logo, introduced in October 2024, features an upward-flowing pattern that combines two key concepts. The spiral element represents human resilience and adaptability, while sharp diagonals symbolize exponential growth and the opportunities of digital assets.[3] The redesign was developed after 20 months of research involving 5,000 users across 23 countries.[4]
The rebrand marked Nexo’s evolution from a lending-centric crypto company to a comprehensive digital asset wealth platform, a strategic shift announced on Bitcoin Whitepaper Day.[1] The new identity was created in collaboration with Saffron Brand Consultants, a global brand consultancy whose notable clients include YouTube, Meta, and the City of Vienna.[5] The rebrand was named a Finalist for Best Rebrand or Relaunch at The Drum Awards 2025.[6]
Meaning and Symbolism
According to Nexo’s official brand page, the logo’s upward-flowing spiral embodies human resilience and adaptability, described as being “encoded in our very DNA.” The sharp diagonals represent exponential growth and the boundless opportunities in digital assets.[3] Elitsa Taskova, Nexo’s Chief Product Officer, stated that the new visual identity “mirrors Nexo’s evolution into a sophisticated digital assets wealth platform.”[1]
The rebrand also introduced a refreshed color palette. Inspired by the modern, active lifestyle of Nexo’s clients, the new identity blends soft greys and beiges with energetic greens.[2] The combination of flowing patterns and precise elements is intended to convey both flexibility and security.[1]
