Feast It was a UK-based event supplier booking platform, founded in 2017 by Digby Vollrath and Hugo Campbell, that connected customers with street food caterers and later expanded to venues, bars, photographers and florists [1][2]. In 2023, the company renamed and rebranded itself as Togather, retiring the Feast It name and visual identity [3].
Design and History
Feast It launched in 2017 as a platform for booking street food caterers for events such as birthday parties and weddings [1]. The company grew into an end-to-end events platform covering everything from venues and photographers to food and drinks, which prompted a rethink of its brand [4].
Paris-based branding and advertising agency Socialclub was brought in to rename and rebrand the company [5]. The new name, Togather, was inspired by the company’s expertise in bringing people together and creating a unique combination of the right suppliers to create unforgettable events and moments [6]. The rebrand was announced in June 2023 alongside an $8.5 million funding round [3].
Vollrath explained the reasoning behind the change: “When we started Feast It we were two twenty-somethings in a flat-share in Brixton. We needed a name to start trading, and Feast It sounded good enough and we just ran with it. Unsurprisingly, six years and a pandemic later, we just don’t feel like it fits us anymore” [3]. He added that the company did “so much more than street food” and realised that “the feasts aren’t individually the most important part of our business. It’s the coming together of people” [1].
Meaning and Symbolism
The Togather logomark was designed to embody “Togatherness”, composed of two graphic elements: one referring to gathering in one place and the other to the firework from a celebration [7]. The identity used hand-drawn, imperfect illustrations with soft, rounded lines described as warm and inviting, reflecting the holistic approach of event curation [4]. Each sub-brand within Togather had its own colors, making the overall palette “very colorful and fun yet structured” [4].
