KF Valbona is an Albanian football club based in Bajram Curri, in the Tropojë region. The club was refounded in 2013 as KF Valbona Football Club and has traditionally worn a blue home kit since that time.[1] The club takes its name from the Valbona Valley, a well-known natural landmark in the surrounding area.
Design and History
Documented visual information about the Valbona crest is limited. The club’s emblem is known to exist as a file on the Lithuanian Wikipedia, uploaded under a fair-use football club logo tag, but no detailed description of its design has been published in reliable sources.[2]
One secondary source describes the club’s colors as blue and white, and claims the emblem depicts mountains and a river as symbols of Tropojë.[3] This description aligns with the club’s location in the mountainous Valbona Valley region, but it has not been confirmed by an official club or federation source.
The club has competed in several tiers of Albanian football. It appeared in the Albanian Second Division (Kategoria e Dytë) during the 2023-24 season,[4] and was listed among participants in the Albanian First Division (Kategoria e Parë) for the 2024-25 season.[5]
Meaning and Symbolism
The only available description, from an unofficial source, suggests the emblem incorporates mountains and a river representing Tropojë.[3] Given the club’s location in the Valbona Valley, such imagery would be geographically appropriate, but this interpretation should be treated as unverified.
