Keep Network is a privacy-focused infrastructure project for public blockchains, founded in 2017 by Matt Luongo and Corbin Pon, who previously co-founded the bitcoin rewards app Fold.[1] The network enables private data to be used in public protocols through off-chain containers called keeps, and it powers tBTC, a decentralized tokenized Bitcoin solution on Ethereum.[2]
Design and History
The Keep Network visual identity is documented in an official design system hosted on GitBook, which includes brand colors, typography, logos, and token symbols, along with usage guidelines for logo and token placement.[3] The design system also references a community-maintained Figma UI kit containing the Keep colors, typography, and components.[3]
In 2022, the Keep Network merged with NuCypher to form the Threshold Network, combining their privacy and encryption technologies.[4] Following the merger, KEEP and NU tokens were upgradeable to the new T token through the Threshold Dashboard.[5] The Keep Network’s official website now directs visitors to the Threshold community, stating that the Keep community has merged with Threshold.[6]
Meaning and Symbolism
Documented symbolism for the Keep Network logo is limited. The official design system does not publicly describe a specific meaning behind the mark’s visual elements. The network’s name derives from its core technical concept: “keeps” are off-chain containers that store and encrypt private data, and nodes must stake KEEP tokens to operate them.[2]
Typography and Design
The design system also provides token symbols as part of its brand assets, alongside logos and high-resolution imagery.[3]
Logo Index is an independent educational archive covering logos, visual identities and graphic design history. All trademarks and brand assets remain the property of their respective owners.
