BlockStamp (BST) is a blockchain-based platform that uses Bitcoin network randomness for provably fair gaming and timestamping applications, combining decentralized gaming with document notarization services.[1] The project describes itself as a blockchain ecosystem supporting privacy, fairness, authentication, and freedom, and is a fork of Bitcoin optimized for data sealing and timestamping.[2]
Design and History
The BlockStamp logo is a circular emblem featuring a multi-colored design. A graphic artist’s review of cryptocurrency logos describes BlockStamp as having “great color distribution throughout the circular shape,” giving it a futuristic appearance.[3] The logo is available in transparent PNG format at a resolution of 880×880 pixels,[4] and an SVG vector version of the mark is also distributed.[5]
BlockStamp was founded in 2018 by Leszek Rychlewski and is based in Warsaw, Poland.[6] The project’s official website is blockstamp.info, with a block explorer at explorer.blockstamp.info and a wallet at wallet.blockstamp.info.[7] The source code is available on GitHub.[8]
Meaning and Symbolism
The circular format and color distribution are the most commonly noted visual characteristics in third-party commentary.[3]
