Kyber Network is a multi-chain crypto trading and liquidity hub that connects liquidity from different sources to enable trades at the best rates. The project is open source and governed by the KyberDAO, a decentralized community of KNC token holders who stake their tokens and collectively vote on key network parameters. [1]
Design and History
The Kyber Network visual identity was developed by Ramotion, a branding agency that lists the project among its fintech case studies. [2] The agency describes the work as a rebrand of Kyber Network that enhanced visibility and engagement, contributing to the project’s $10B+ trading volume milestone. [3]
According to Ramotion’s case study, Kyber Network already had a logo when the agency began working with them. The team decided that rebranding from scratch would be too risky for their business, so together they chose to refresh the existing mark. The adjusted logo was made simpler while maintaining the same ideas and concepts, and the colors of the brand logo were slightly changed so that users familiar with the company would still recognize it. [4]
Ramotion described the project as a “soft re-branding” that made the visual positioning “a bit more serious and trustworthy.” The work produced not just a new logo sign and wordmark but also a set of consistent visual brand assets and guides. [5]
Meaning and Symbolism
Brand asset data for Kyber Network lists a primary brand color with the hex code #31CB9E, a shade of teal, alongside secondary colors including a cold purple (#9B92D3) and a dark gray (#3A3A3A). [6]
Ramotion’s early-stage design exploration for Kyber Network included hand-drawn sketches exploring different shapes based on the company’s attributes and information. [7] The agency noted that flat, simple, and clean logos were a growing trend at the time of the redesign, which informed the direction of the refreshed mark. [4]
Typography and Design
Ramotion’s work on Kyber Network included both a new logo sign and a wordmark, delivered alongside a set of consistent visual brand assets and guides. [5] The agency’s case study confirms that the final design was a simplification of the original logo rather than a completely new concept, preserving the core ideas while updating the execution. [4]
